Esther Chow is an Immediate Past President in AREAA Tri-County Chapter. She was born in Hong Kong and her family immigrated to the United States in the 80’s in search for a better life, greater opportunities, and well-rounded education. She graduated from USC’s Marshall School of Business with a major in Finance.
Since graduating from USC, Esther entered the finance and banking field and worked for institutions like HSBC, Chase, CitiBank, and Castlewood Real Estate and Mortgage.
In 2009, she joined HSBC Bank as a Premier Mortgage Consultant (License ID NMLS#416785) and have held this role ever since. She joined HSBC because she aspired to work for a global company, and was drawn to HSBC for their international focus and size and depth of their global network. She saw working for HSBC as an opportunity to significantly expand what she was doing to customers that were not only local and U.S. based, but also Foreign National and New Immigrants.
Nevertheless, she learned of AREAA in 2011 through HSBC, which was very involved with the organization. AREAA, which is dedicated to creating a powerful national voice for housing and real estate professionals and improving the lives of the AAPI community through homeownership, is an organization she wished was available for her family and one that she was excited to join and contribute her efforts to help support families alike!
Through Esther’s time in AREAA, she has taken on many different roles and was given many opportunities to get involved with AREAA. She was given the honor to be an advisory board member, then later board member, Treasurer, VIce President and 2021 President for AREAA’s Tri-County Chapter.
